For Press and Creators

The Press Kit

Everything a writer, streamer, or curious human needs to cover Twenty Faces. Take what you need. Ask for anything missing.

The story

Angles from a reporter's desk, not ours. Any one of these is a piece on its own. Take the one that fits your readers, and ask for whatever you need to run it.

The party game with no app to download

Tired of installs and subscriptions, it opens in any browser on one phone. No download, no account needed, no ads, no trackers.

Made for the table, not the feed

Built to put phones down and get people performing for each other in the same room. The counter to a night of scrolling.

An Atlanta maker bets on live performance

One person built it by hand, in a city that hosts two of the largest fan conventions in the country. A local story with a national hook.

A party game where nobody lies

You perform a secret roll and the people who know you best try to read you. Closer to Wavelength than to Werewolf. No bluffing, no hidden roles.

Free forever, twenty five worlds, no catch

The honest alternative to a thirty dollar box. Twenty worlds free for good, and nothing sold but more worlds.

What a table teaches about knowing people

From real nights of play: how strangers become regulars, and why a group will retell one round for years.

“I wanted a game that makes people look at each other instead of a screen. You roll in secret, you perform it, and the people who know you best try to read you. That is the whole thing.” Brandon George, who built Twenty Faces by hand in Atlanta

Why now. Tabletop nights are surging as screen fatigue sets in. A free game that needs nothing but a browser and a few friends meets both at once.

Ready-to-run release

A finished piece, written from a reporter's desk. Take it and run it as it stands, or lift what you need. It is evergreen, so add today's date if your outlet asks for one. Download PDF Download .txt

A New Party Game Bets Friends Still Want To Put The Phones Down

Twenty Faces launches free in the browser, with no app and no account, built for a table of friends reading each other in the same room.

ATLANTA. Twenty Faces, a free storytelling party game, is now live at twentyfaces.app. It runs in any web browser on a phone, tablet, or laptop. There is no download, no account, no ads, and no trackers. Three to eight players share one phone or play on their own with a five-letter room code, and the game takes one scene to learn.

On a turn, a player calls a shot out loud, then rolls a twenty-sided die where no one can see it. The player performs how big the roll landed without ever saying the number. The rest of the table reads the performance and guesses. Whoever reads truest wins the round. It is closer to charades than to a game of bluffing. Nobody lies. The tension is how hard a person is to read, and how good it feels when someone reads them perfectly.

The game ships with twenty five worlds. A tavern full of monsters. A vault nine minutes from opening. A ship that stopped answering the radio. Each world carries its own classes and gear, and every scene is improvised at the table by the people playing it. Twenty Faces plays three ways. Party is the competitive original. Story is a cooperative deck of 125 branching tales. Solo is a daily run against a narrator called the Sage. Twenty worlds are free forever. Five expansion worlds sell for three dollars each.

The release lands as tabletop nights climb and screen fatigue sets in. Twenty Faces is a wager that people are ready to look at each other again, and that a game which needs nothing but a browser and a few friends is the easiest way to start.

“I wanted a game that makes people look at each other instead of a screen,” said Brandon George, who built Twenty Faces by hand in Atlanta. “You roll in secret, you perform it, and the people who know you best try to read you. That is the whole thing.”

“Most games about hidden information are about lying,” George said. “This one is the opposite. You are trying to be read, and the table is trying to read you. When it clicks it feels like telepathy.”

What it is

Twenty Faces is a party game about nerve and the people who know you too well. On your turn you call your shot out loud, roll a d20 nobody else can see, and perform your roll without saying the number. The table reads you. Whoever reads you truest takes the Glory.

The die decides the world. A tavern full of monsters, a vault nine minutes from opening, a ship that stopped answering the radio. Twenty five worlds in all, each with its own classes, gear, and voice, and every scene is improvised at the table by the people playing it.

It is a game about performance, reading, and being known. The rules take one scene to learn. The stories are the point.

Three ways to play

Party

The original game. Call your shot, roll in secret, perform it, and let the table read you. Competitive, loud, and fast.

Story

Co-op tales. One hero takes point each beat while the whole party reads them true. A deck of 125 branching tales, five for every world, each with a spectrum of endings.

Solo

You against the Sage. Daily sealed trials, a roguelite saga where even death advances the story, and a global daily board.
