Put It in Your Pocket

Twenty Faces installs like an app because it is one. Straight from the browser, thirty seconds, no store in between. Once it is on your home screen, Solo and Local play work with no signal at all.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open play.twentyfaces.app in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button, the square with the arrow.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add. The gem d20 lands on your home screen.

Android

  1. Open play.twentyfaces.app in Chrome.
  2. If an Install banner appears, tap it and you are done.
  3. Otherwise tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app.

Laptop and desktop

  1. Open play.twentyfaces.app in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
  3. On a Mac in Safari, use File, then Add to Dock.

Pass it down the table

Hold your phone up and let the table scan it. The code opens the game, the game opens the night. This is the whole onboarding flow, and it fits on a coaster.

Why there is no store between us

App stores want accounts, analytics, and a cut. The game keeps no accounts, runs no trackers, and shows no ads, so there is nothing for a store to take and nothing for it to add. The web version is not a preview of the app. It is the app.

If it ever lands in a store, it will be this same game with the same vows. Until then your home screen is the store, and the price is still free.
